Turkish tug collides with vessel under tow near Neptun
At around 04:20 on 4 November, the Turkish tug AYAZ BEY collided with the vessel it was towing, MENTOR, in the Black Sea near Neptun, Romania, and sent a distress signal. Romania’s Ministry of Internal Affairs said three crew members were evacuated and four refused evacuation. Romanian authorities initially reported that the tug had sunk, but a later ministry update said it was anchored; the available reports give conflicting accounts of its condition.
