Croatian Rafale escorts Finnair aircraft after hoax bomb threat
On 5 November 2026, a Croatian Rafale fighter escorted a Finnair aircraft operating from Helsinki to Rome through Croatian airspace to the Italian border after a report of a possible bomb on board, BTA reported, citing HINA. Finnair confirmed to Yle that the threat was a hoax and that nothing unusual was found during the inspection after landing in Rome; the airline did not confirm the Croatian escort.
