Romanian radar detects two aerial targets near Snake Island; Spanish aircraft and helicopters scrambled
On 8 November, Romania’s defence ministry said radar had detected two aerial targets in Ukrainian airspace: the first about 30 km east of Snake Island and the second about 55 km west of it. Spanish F-18s and NH-90 helicopters took off from Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base, and an RO-Alert warning was sent to eastern Tulcea County; the alert ended at 15:26.
